I wanted to make a hat, based on the hat Jayne Cobb (aka the "Firefly hat") receives from his Ma in the TV series Firefly. There are several versions on the web, but I wanted a version knit with straight needles, so I created my own.
Since I was inspired both by a TV show and also many other talented knitters out there, I have not placed any limits on how the pattern is used (just credit me)! And if you make a hat using my pattern, I would love to see it.
